Lala Meredith-Vula is an international exhibiting artist and Professor of Art and Photography at De Montfort University.

In 1988 she became known as one of the Young British Artists when she was invited to exhibit in the exhibition ‘Freeze’ organised by Damian Hirst. She exhibits regularly in the UK, USA, China, and throughout continental Europe. She represented Albania in the 48th Venice Biennale (1999) and participated in ‘documenta 14’ in Athens and Kassel, Germany (2017). 

With exhibitions at The Arts Club of Chicago (2018). She has forthcoming solo shows at: Gallery of Art Ministry of Kosova in Prishtina in April 2023 and will be taking part in the ‘The 40th EVA International Ireland’s Biennial’ which will take place 31 August – 29 October 2023 across venues in Limerick city and beyond.

Her work can be found in a range of major art collections including, but not limited to: Arts Council of Britain, The British Council Collection, Arthur Anderson Collection, Centre of Photography in Geneva, Collezione La Gaia, Doria Pamphilj Gallery, Doria Pamphilj Palace Museum and The Teseco Foundation.
